Causes We Support

As a recognized 501 C-3 organization, H.E.R.O. supports several causes. These include, but are not limited to, the American Colleges of Mixed Martial Arts Scholarship Fund, Veteran's Outreach, Battle Buddy, and the Fraternal Order of Police.  Your donations help to provide educational opportunities for participants and continuing education for our instructors. If you have suggestions for other causes you feel we should support, please contact Master Rick Dye directly.

ACMMA Scholarship Fund

Many students seek martial arts training to feel more confident and empowered. Parents want their kids to learn about respect, self-control, and proper aggression release. It is also a great place to make life-long friends. The school provides a variety of classes for the following age groups:

L'il Dragons (4-6 year olds)

PeeWees (7-10 year olds)

Juniors (11-13 year olds)

Adults (14 and up)

Scholarships must be applied for and the amount and length of assistance will be determined by the Board of Directors.

Veteran's Outreach

H.E.R.O believes strongly in supporting our Veterans. As stated in the Veteran's Outreach mission: "These fine Americans served our country, and we owe them our gratitude, support, and our help. We believe that all veterans, regardless of whether they served in active duty or here at home are entitled to our appreciation and we pledge to serve and honor them for their selfless sacrifice and service." Many of our volunteer instructors are distinguished veterans who desire to teach the younger generations about respect, leadership and service.

Fraternal Order of Police

The mission of the WAFOP is to to encourage fraternal, educational, charitable and social activities among law enforcement officers.  H.E.R.O. Association recognizes and appreciates the service of those choosing to defend and uphold the law in our communities. We provide ongoing training to police officers and actively seek opportunities to support, encourage and promote the men and women of this profession.

The Battle Buddy Foundation

The Battle Buddy Foundation was founded with the combined mission of assisting veterans, of all eras, in the acquisition of service dogs, while providing a network of peer support and activity, and promoting education and awareness of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), the current veteran suicide epidemic, and the life saving benefits of highly trained service dogs. H.E.R.O. Association believes in the benefits of loving animals, especially in the healing of those who have served.
